Medicare Supplements
Medicare Supplement plans were designed to fill in the gaps of Medicare Part A and Part B. Medicare leaves the member responsible for large copays or coinsurance amounts and does not have a maximum out of pocket limit. The Supplemental Plan helps the member pick up the expenses that Medicare does not pay for. In fact, some Supplement Plans will pick up all of the expense that Medicare does not cover assuming it is a covered procedure.
A rule of thumb: If Medicare covers it; the Supplemental Plan will pay their portion.
With Medicare Supplement Plans you can visit any doctor that accepts Medicare.
Medicare Supplement Plans fill in the gaps of Medicare Part A and Part B. This means they help cover your medical expenses but you will still need a Medicare Part D plan to pay for your prescriptions.
